Our belief system will motivate and determine how we conduct ourselves in every realm of life.
Once we accept Jesus as Lord, the truths contained in the Bible become the building blocks for our belief system.
I like one of the foundational blocks of truth mentioned in the scripture below.
2 Corinthians 13:8 For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth. (ESV)
This scripture explains what we should do with Bible truth. Here are some thoughts about handling truth.
It’s important that we all allow God’s truth to dominate every area of our lives.
When Bible truth dominates us, we won’t do anything “against” the truth.
One way to do something “against” the truth, is to try to change the truth in order to make it line up with our experiences or behavior.
Doing things “for” the truth means the truth forms our thoughts, directs our behaviors, and reveals the Godly realities that Jesus purchased for us.
It’s a wonderful life when we live in Christ, we simply learn the truth and allow it to dominate our lives.
Let’s all handle the truth responsibly and it will bless us and others we meet on our journey of the “in Christ” life.
