Mothers, while they are pregnant, provide a place for God to knit a new living being together. When that baby is born, her hands get busy with loving and caring for that baby. But God has not finished working with the child. He is continually at work in the child’s life to complete the good work He began at conception.
 
A mother’s hand are important in the nurture and upbringing of the child, but she cannot do what only the Hands of God can do. In fact, if a mother tries to do God’s part, she moves from accommodation to manipulation in the plan of God. She moves out of faith and in to fear.
 
As the child grows, a mother’s influence decreases. That’s when God’s influence is so necessary.
 
Wherever your child is, God is there. Faith and trust in God accommodates the plan of God and hand of God in the life of your child and give God room to work.
